Happy New Year
Just officially took over the reins as the webmaster of the STCEO (Society for Technical Communications – Eastern Ontario chapter) website. I’ve been working on cleaning up the HTML, design, and file layout of the existing site for the last few months (nothing major…just tidying things up, making everything consistent). My plan was to offer the updated files to the previous webmaster as my little contribution to the chapter. But she resigned in November and here I am.
I hope to have the cleaned-up site uploaded later this coming week. I find I’m having to quell the little voice inside me that wants to redesign it as I’m going along. That can wait. All I really need to do right now is get what’s there cleaned up (consistent design and headers, removal of outdated content, cleanup of navigational elements, tidying up the file structure, etc.). Extras like new content or a redesign of the look of the site can wait awhile.
